Stewart Rhodes served as a U.S. Army paratrooper until disabled in a rough terrain parachuting accident during a night jump. He is a former firearms instructor and former member of Rep. Ron Paul's DC staff. Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper "Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status" won Yale’s Miller prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. He assisted teaching U.S. military history at Yale, was a Yale Research Scholar, and is writing a book on the dangers of applying the laws of war to the American people. He is a staff attorney with Jefferson Legal Foundation and has assisted in constitutional litigation in state and federal courts. Stewart currently writes the monthly Enemy at the Gates column for S.W.A.T. Magazine, and has written for The Warrior, the journal of Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyer’s College; for www.moreliberty.org; and for JPFO. Stewart has appeared on several radio shows, was invited to speak at Stanford University on unlawful enemy combatant status, and teaches classes on the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Pastor Stephen Broden founded the Fair Park Bible Fellowship Church in 1987 and serves as its Senior Pastor.  He has served as President of the Fair Park Friendship Center for over 18 years and as its Executive Director for over 11 years. The center provides assistance to the community's inner-city families, including a clothing store and back-to-school rally where children from neighborhood families are provided with donated school supplies and family counseling.

Broden advocates in the Fair Park and South Dallas areas for economic opportunity, improved access to education, and against abortion. He is a spokesman for the black pro-life movement in Dallas and a contributor to blackprolifemovement.blogspot.com. He is a founder of Ebony Berean, an organization whose mission includes informing African-American Pastors of the "Culture War".

 
He is a frequent speaker at tea party events and advocates for a return to what he considers proper Constitutional principles in government and the Judeo-Christian values that undergird the founding of the United States of America.

Broden has been a recurring political commentator on FOX News Channel, including appearances on the Glenn Beck show.

Dr. Yuri Nicholas Maltsev served as a senior advisor to Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev during the Soviet reform movement known as 'Perestroika.'  In that role, Dr. Maltsev was able to see quite clearly just how starkly socialism and freedom contrast.  Today, he serves as a Professor of Economics and a Senior Fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute.

Dr. Maltsev has an extensive publishing record including five monographs, contributions to sixteen books, and over seventy authored or co-authored articles in American, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, and Taiwanese journals, magazines, and newspapers.  He has consulted on Central and Eastern European economic, trade and political issues, and has been a frequent guest on national television and radio programs.  Dr. Maltsev received his MA in history and social sciences at Moscow State University and his PhD in economics at the Institute for Labor Research in Moscow.

Broadcast journalist, blogger, conservative activist and Tea Party Italia spokesman Luca Bocci will be addressing the Lone Star Tax Day Tea Party on April 15th.  Luca has been working tirelessly to build and international network of tea partiers.  He explains his international tea party philosophy as follows:

We believe that the motto of the United States of America should be our common thread and a worthy goal to pursue. From many local groups, an international network of Tea Parties, ready to share experiences and help each other fighting our common enemy, socialist and statist politicians who think they are entitled to run our lives and waste our money on their pet projects. We're thrilled to report that Jeremy Dodge will be performing at Lone Star Tax Day Tea Party.  Jeremy is a musician and youth pastor from New Mexico who is best known for his hit song 'Stand Up.'  Jeremy describes the process of writing the song as follows:

I’ve never written a political song and actually had been planning to get into the studio to record a rather bold, in your face song about God.  Yet, I knew I had to write this political song instead.  As I continued to watch Glenn Beck, I fought the idea about writing it.  I thought, “What in the world would I do with a political song?”  I knew how strongly I felt about politics and the current condition of our government and nation, but a political song?  Finally, I put all doubt aside and picked up a pen and piece of paper.  Within literally five minutes, the song was written.  I got into the studio immediately and we pumped the song out in less than a couple sessions.  With the help of a close friend, I was given the idea to make a video and everything else is history.  I’m so stoked about how this song is in some way helping our nation.  It’s making a difference.

 

I wrote “Stand Up” out of pure concern about where our country and the generations coming up in our nation are going and honest conviction and belief in the possibility that it is not too late for the UNITED States of America.  That we can and will “Stand Up” and truly be “a government of the people, by the people, for the people.”

We're pleased to report that singer / songwriter Krista Branch has confirmed that she will be performing at Lone Star Tax Day Tea Party on April 15th!

Krista developed a love for music at a very young age. Her singing career started at a small church in east Texas.  Krista's family encouraged her to pursue her passion for singing, and that's exactly what she did.

She has traveled and used her gifts all over the United States as well as Guatemala and Slovakia where she performed for 20,000 teens in concerts, rallies and school assemblies. Krista was married in 2000 and soon after began her solo career.

Krista describes herself as "a devoted wife, mother, patriot, and woman of deep faith."  She currently leads praise and worship for her church, as well as youth and kids camps.  She is currently touring many different events across the country and working on her full length album.

Krista's career has recently been boosted by the release of her hit single, "I Am America."  The music video has become a YouTube sensation and has sparked interest in booking Krista for rallies and concerts around the nation.  She has performed her song on Fox & Friends, Money Rocks with Eric Bohling, and Fox News Strategy Room.  Krista has been asked to perform at events sponsored by Glenn Beck and has shared a stage with many well known figures including Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and possible presidential candidate Herman Cain.
